Deeksha Mahila Welfare Society & Mandali

With women's empowerment as the goal, Deeksha Mahila Welfare Society & Mandali was started in 1999 in Veerasagaram village, Badangi Mandal, Vijayanagaram district, with the aim of providing welfare and social justice to women, tribals, backward classes, students, youth, and farmers. This organization, Deeksha Mahila Welfare Society & Mandali, was formed and shaped by a team of women passionate about ensuring women's self-reliance, social justice, financial independence, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods.

Human Resources

 

DMWS has well equipped and motivated field and administrative functionaries to carry out its objectives and projects, it has full time and grass root volunteers to execute the projects under taken by the organization.
DMWS has a team of professionals specialized in Medicine, Engineering, legal advice, accountancy, counseling, capacity Building, Study & Research, Documentation. Education, rights based advocacy, livelihoods promotion, institution building, Project Monitoring and Evaluation etc. The concrete experience of the project functionaries is ranging from 2 – 10 years in their respective field.
The Project Administrative, field functional and subject matter specialists are in place to assist him in the over planning, executing, monitoring and evaluating the projects undertaken by DMWS. The community organizers are placed at the clusters of the villages to execute and monitor the field-based activities. The front line volunteers system is established at each village to facilitate community level interventions with supports of the cluster organizers. 

DMWS has a General Body consisting of 25 members, which is a policy making, and enforcement body. An executive committee of 7 members is constituted from the general body of the society. The Executive Body meets minimum once in every quarter to review the progress and also take administrative/ financial decisions in regarding to the functions of the society.
